Although Brad Sweet was not competing in the NCWTS race last weekend at Darlington doesn’t mean he had the weekend off. Sweet himself has been extremely busy since his NCWTS career best 8th place finish at ORP, with back to back race weeks with his Kasey Kahne Racing team racing in the Belleville Nationals as well as the Knoxville Nationals. Although plagued with some bad luck in Knoxville, His overall weekend at Belleville was outstanding after a sweeping victory night one of the Belleville Nationals and finishing 2nd on the final night!

After the race in Bristol, Brad Sweet will taking off for North Dakota where he will be racing his #49 Kasey Kahne Racing World of Outlaws car this weekend.

Doug Stringer, team owner of the #90 Great Clips Racing Team is looking forward to Sweet having an opportunity to run at Bristol. “Brad has been coming off a lot of time running short tracks the past couple of weeks so this should prove to be an exciting event for the #90 Great Clips Team.”

Sweet on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway- ” I am really excited to finally race at Bristol. I can remember the first time that I ever watched a race here and how unbelievable it was. I am excited to race our #90 Great Clips racing truck with the crew that we have and hope to bring home another solid Top-10 finish.”

Veteran Trip Bruce on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway– “I am anticipating that Brad will do well at Bristol. The same intensity that it takes for him to race his World of Outlaws will be required here at Bristol. Brad is a great competitor driven to win, and as he is getting more familiar with these trucks I believe that you will see that evident in his on track performances”.

Equipment Info- Sweet and his #90 Great Clips Racing Team will be taking Chassis #97. The last time this chassis was raced was earlier this year at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Team Fast Facts- Bristol Motor Speedway

Stringer Motorsports mechanic and fabricator Shannon Bryant was also a competitor at one time at Bristol Motor Speedway with his own Top-5 finish under his belt. Shannon competed in the 1999 Goody’s Dash Series qualifying 6th and finished the race in 5th place.

Crew Chief Trip Bruce also has some impressive stats at Bristol Motor Speedway: In 2006 he received the Wypall Crew Chief of the Race Award with Kasey Kahne piloting the car in the Nationwide Series. Bruce also won the first 2008 NCWTS race with Johnny Benson behind the wheel with the new track configuration.
