After five weeks away from the high-speeds and high-banked tracks of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Tony Jackson Jr. is ready to get back behind the wheel of the SS Green Light Racing No. 07 at the Chicagoland Speedway.

Jackson’s No. 07 Chevy, along with teammate Jason White will carry the colors of ASI Limited, an Indianapolis based leader in the building enclosure industry with associate sponsorship from Akzo-Nobel.

Jackson has been impressive in his first four races with the SS Green Light team, having finishes of 20th, 15th and 18th in the three races that he finished. A mechanical problem slowed Tony at Texas back in June ending a very positive day behind the wall in 21st place.

Although he’s making his fifth start of 2010 in the NCWTS, Jackson has been busy this summer on both the dirt and asphalt near his Lebanon, MO home winning a dirt late model feature Sunday night at the 3/8-mile Monett Speedway. Tony has also won in an asphalt modified and late model this season.

“I’m excited to go to a track that is similar to something I’ve been to already,” said Jackson. “The first four races every track was totally different and we spent a good part of practice just learning the track. Hopefully with Chicago we can use some of what we have done at Kansas and Texas and work more on fine-tuning the truck. I think we will have a better starting point.”

“I’m anxious to get to Chicagoland, it seems like Gateway was a long time ago,” he added. “Hopefully we can have a good day and get our first top-ten.”

“The first couple races went pretty smooth and then we ran into some issues the last couple so I’m looking to get back on the right track.”

The Chicagoland race is a homecoming for SS Green Light Racing General Manager Bobby Dotter who grew up racing on the short-tracks of the Chicago area. “It’s always great to come back home and see old friends, family and fans,” Dotter said.

Chicagoland is the fifth of seven scheduled races for Jackson with the SS Green Light No. 07 team this season. By running a seven-race schedule in 2010, Jackson will retain his status for NCWTS rookie of the year in 2011. Jackson and the SS Green Light team are actively pursuing marketing partners for next season.

Thirty-eight trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Chicagoland Camping World Truck Series 225.

The NCWTS drivers will have a special autograph session on Friday at 1:00 p.m. behind the front stretch grandstands.

First practice for the NCWTS will be Thursday, August 26th at 6:00 p.m. with final practice Friday, August 27th at 10:30 a.m. followed by qualifying at 3:35pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00 p.m. central. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR channel 128.

ASI Limited is a leader in the Building Enclosure and Ornamental Metals industry. Indianapolis based ASI Limited’s ability to take a project from it’s inception to its completion separates them from their competition. In 2003, the Ornamental Division was established as a national supplier of ornate products. Currently the Ornamental Division is supplying materials for many United States Embassies overseas and projects throughout the country. ASI will be partnering with their customers in the NCWTS to continue to build relationship and teamwork. For more information visit www.asilimted.com.
