Jason White returns to the site of his career-best finish this Saturday night as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visits the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Smiths 350. White will have a special passenger onboard with him as the Mule Deer Foundation joins GunBroker.com on the SS Green Light Racing No. 23 Dodge RAM.

Found in such wide ranges as the Badlands of the Dakotas to the shores of the Pacific Ocean and the desert Southwest, mule deer symbolize the American West. In most western states, mule deer play a significant role in the states’ natural and cultural heritages. Sadly, habitat loss and degradation over the past 40 years have caused mule deer to suffer and their populations are now in severe decline. The Mule Deer Foundation is dedicated to the conservation of habitat for mule deer, black-tailed deer and managing the deer populations and will have several guests in attendance at the Smiths 350.

White has three previous starts at the mile and a half track and has completed 100% of the laps the last two races with a seventeenth place finish in 2008 precluding his career-best third place last season.

White, who is currently tenth in the NCWTS point standings is ready to return to Las Vegas to put the GunBroker.com / Mule Deer Foundation Dodge into the winner’s circle. “We’ve been up and down the last couple weeks, it’s time for an up week again!”

“I’m really looking forward to Las Vegas, last year we qualified third and finished third,” White explained. “We’re bringing back the same truck and we think we’ve got a great set-up. It’s a truck we call 50-Cal, it’s been fast when we’ve run it this year and I’m just excited to get it back to Vegas.”

The Smiths 350 is the 240th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 99th career start for Starr in the Truck series.

42 trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Smiths 350.

Practice for the NCWTS Smiths 350 will be Saturday, September 25th at 9:00 a.m. (12:00 Eastern) with final practice 10:45 a.m. (1:45 p.m. Eastern) and qualifying at 3:15 p.m. (6:15 Eastern.) The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 6:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. Eastern.) It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.

Jason, along with teammates David Starr and Tony Jackson Jr. will participate in a free autograph session at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino on Friday, September 24th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
