2010 has been a learning experience for Missouri native Tony Jackson Jr. in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Saturday he will make his seventh and final appearance for the SS Green Light Racing team in the No. 07 ASI Limited Chevy Silverado.

Jackson’s inaugural season behind the wheel of a truck began with a top-twenty run at Martinsville back in April and has taken him from half mile short-tracks to mile and a half speedways in preparation for this weekends big event at the series largest and fastest track.

Tony has proven to be a quick study and has shown a smooth consistency beyond his experience level through his first six starts finishing outside the top-twenty once when mechanical problems sidelined his No. 07 at Texas.

Building enclosure specialist ASI Limited will once again sponsor Jackson’s No. 07 this weekend.

“It’s another new track for me so my goal is just to stay on the lead lap and try to stay out of trouble. We’ll probably hang out at the back of the pack to gain some experience and get a solid feel for the truck in the draft and then see what we can do over the last twenty-five laps,” he added. “I’m expecting a full day of learning about racing on the superspeedways.”

Jackson will be paired with veteran Crew Chief Butch Miller again this weekend at Talladega. “Butch and I have hit it off well over the last few weeks. I think we are getting along real well,” said Jackson. “He is just a wealth of knowledge and his experience has been a real benefit to me.”

“It’s my last run of the year for the SS Green Light team. I’ve had a great time,” Tony concluded. “This is the race I’ve been looking forward to all year.”

The Mountain Dew 250 is the 242nd consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and is the seventh and final race for Jackson with the SS Green Light No. 07. By running a seven-race schedule Jackson has retained his status for rookie of the year in 2011.

There are only 34 trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Mountain Dew 250.

Practice for the NCWTS Mountain Dew 250 will be Friday, October 29th from 10:00 a.m. to noon Eastern with qualifying at 4:40 p.m. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV Saturday, October 30th at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. It will also be broadcast live via radio worldwide on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.
