In the only NCWTS Mountain Dew 250 practice session at Talladega Superspeedway, it was former series champion, Mike Skinner, with a lap speed of 193.232 mph, showing the fastest way around the track.

Second fastest with a speed of 193.197 mph, was Timothy Peters, followed by Aric Almirola (192.119) who was third fastest, Narain Karthikeyan (191.923) fourth fastest, Raybestos Rookie contender Austin Dillon (190.985) fifth, David Starr (190.947) sixth, Kyle Busch (190.374) seventh, Todd Bodine (190.057) eighth, Ryan Sieg (190.026) ninth and Max Papis (189.936 – required to qualify on time) rounds out the top-ten fastest in “Happy Hour.”

The teams will return to the track later this afternoon for their 4:40 PM (EST) scheduled qualifying session, which will set the starting lineup for Saturday’s race (scheduled to get underway a little after 4:00 PM – EST).
