Jennifer Jo Cobb Ready to Take on Phoenix
Press Release“One Step Closer to Making NASCAR History”

Cobb is currently 17th in the NCWTS point standings. She continues to chase history and aims to be the highest finishing female in one of NASCAR’s top-three series at the season’s end.

“As we head to Phoenix, my crew tells me that the track will drive a little bit like St. Louis. Diving down into Turn 1 is a little tight. I don’t have much experience there, but do have a Nationwide qualifying attempt at Phoenix and I’ve also been there with the Richard Petty Driving Experience, so I have run a few laps there. I’ve run enough laps to know that I love it.
“The corners are different on each side. Turns 1 and 2 are nothing like 3 and 4. I’ll probably get along with 3 and 4 very well. The back straightaway is so much fun because it’s not a straightaway at all. I’m a little concerned about our brakes getting into Turn 1. We haven’t had great brake packages this season. As a team, we’re looking to improve on that so we can have a lot better result than we did at Martinsville.
“As the season winds down, it’s exciting to look back and see what we’ve accomplished. We are operating on a fraction of the budget that most teams use. For it to be our team’s first year, and for us to have made every race and be inside the top-20 in points is something to be proud of. We’ve learned a lot and we’re continuing to get better. I hope that our success has been an inspiration to everyone that follows us. No matter what obstacles people face, it’s a matter of faith and determination to overcome them. We’ve proven that all season long and I hope that fans who watch us race believe it too.”
