Jason White Heads West with High Hopes
Press Release
The Mule Deer Foundation will join White and GunBroker.com on the No. 23 Toyota Tundra for the Lucas Oil 150. Mule deer symbolize the American West and can run up to 40 miles per hour. White hopes having the swift associate sponsor this weekend will help to run the No. 23 Toyota to the front of the field.
The NCWTS has traveled to the uniquely shaped track in the desert each season since 1995, however Jason has only two previous starts at the track with a best finish of twenty-second in 2008. Last season mechanical issues slowed the Virginia native at the one-mile track located just west of Phoenix, dropping him to a thirty-third place finish.
Jason sits tenth in the NCWTS point standings with just two races remaining in the 2010 season which ends next week at Homestead. He is seventy points ahead of Ricky Carmichael for the tenth spot in the driver standings.
“After we ran so good at Martinsville, we decided to use the same truck for this race,” White said. “We had talked about bringing a different truck out to Phoenix, but we feel it ran so good with on the flat half-mile at Martinsville it made the most sense to run it at Phoenix. I have to give credit to Doug (Crew Chief Doug Howe) and the GunBroker guys for working so hard to turn-around the truck while they were on the road.”
“I’m really excited to have the Mule Deer Foundation join us and I’m ready to get this GunBroker.com Toyota back up to the front again.”
The Lucas Oil 150 is White’s 103rd NCWTS start and the 244th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team.
There are 36 trucks are on the preliminary entry list for the Lucas Oil 150.
Practice for the NCWTS Lucas Oil 150 will be Thursday, November 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Qualifying will be Friday, November 12th at 4:30 p.m. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12th.
