Timothy Peters Has A Lot Riding On The Season Finale Event At Homestead-Miami Speedway
Press Release
Homestead-Miami Speedway
Ford 200
November 19, 2010
· Peters at Homestead…
The Ford 300 will mark Timothy Peters’ fourth career start at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Last fall Peters started from the 6th spot and earned a 4th place finish. He also earned two 15th place finishes in 2005 and 2008.· Picking Up Speed… Peters seems to have put the bad luck of Las Vegas and Talladega behind him. Accidents at both tracks left him with 26th and 34th place finishes respectively. In the last three weeks Peters has been on a roll earning solid finishes each and every week. He captured a seventh place finish at Talladega Superspeedway, a 12th place finish at Texas Motor Speedway and a 13th place finish at Phoenix International Raceway last Friday night. After running so well at Homestead-Miami Speedway last year, Peters is confident he can secure another top-five finish before the season is over.
· One Chance Left… With just one race remaining in the 2010 season, Peters has just one chance to secure a top-five position in Camping World Truck Series driver point standings. Peters sits sixth in the standings, just 73 points behind fifth place. Don’t count Peters out yet. With a strong run in the season finale, he could earn enough points to slip into the fifth position by the time the checkered flag falls.
· Lufkin On Board At Homestead… The Lufkin logo will adorn the #17 Toyota Tundra as an associate sponsor at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Tough Lufkin® measuring products have been providing precise measurements for professionals and guys who just know tools since 1869. Back then, Lufkin yardsticks and folding rules earned the brand its reputation for quality and strength. Today, tough “Hi-Viz Orange” Lufkin retractable tapes are recognized the world over. Whether the job is laying out a foundation or checking the height of a race vehicle, those who know each for Lufkin. Grab a Lufkin tape and measure tough.

Timothy Peters on the 2010 Season: “It’s kind of sad coming to the last race of the year. This has been an awesome season. Winning Daytona right out of the gate and picking up two poles, it really has been a great year. We were lucky enough to capture five top-five and 16 top-10 finishes. Obviously I wish we could get the points back that we lost to mechanical failures but that’s just how it goes sometimes. It doesn’t take away from the success we had this year. Now we need to carry the momentum we built this season into next year.”
Equipment Information: Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #138 in the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is the same chassis he last raced at Texas Motor Speedway where he started 16th and finished 12th.
