Kyle Busch, with a qualifying lap speed of 134.298 mph (a new track record – old record by Joey Logano, 134.048 mph, on Nov. 13 2010) captured the NNS Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 Coors Light Pole Award at Phoenix International Raceway.

This was Busch’s first series pole of the 2011 season, his 22nd series career pole (tied with David Green and Kevin Harvick for 5th on all-time series poles) and his fourth series pole at Phoenix International Raceway.

Starting on the outside pole with a qualifying lap speed of 133.328 mph, will be Carl Edwards, followed by Joey Logano (133.136) starting third, Brad Keselowski (132.631) starting fourth and Brian Scott (132.558) starting in the fifth position.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Ryan Newman (132.514) starting sixth, Trevor Bayne (132.402) seventh, Steve Wallace (131.863) eighth, Kevin Harvick (131.854) ninth and Reed Sorenson (131.805) starting in the tenth position.

No one failed to make the starting lineup.

The Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 is scheduled to get underway a little after 5:30 PM (EST) this evening. FULL STORY »
