Hello Everyone!

So as I’m sitting here writing this blog entry I am chewing on a piece of deer jerky from my recent hunting trip to Ohio and unwinding at home. Besides for my trip to Ohio and trip to Las Vegas for the SEMA show not much has happened since the last blog.

First was the SEMA show out in Vegas for a week. It was a ton of fun and I saw a bunch of neat things out there. Aside from all the glitz and glam that come with the SEMA show, we met a ton of great people, created some new contacts and relationships for the upcoming 2012 ARCA Racing Series season. We spent about the first three days of the show wandering around meeting people and seeing some we had existing connections with. There is a lot of things looking up for the 2012 season, and a lot of things still left to figure out and piece together.

When we got home from the SEMA show I turned around the following week and went to Ohio for a hunting trip. I try my best to make it up to hunt for about one week a year if the schedule allows for it during the right time of year. I go up about an hour from my hometown and stay with my uncle on my dad’s side of the family. It was a really good time and I wound up getting one deer, which I am satisfied with. It wasn’t the big buck that we all hope for, but nonetheless it was a deer and some good meat! I spent an entire week in Ohio and even went and saw an old friend of mine that I haven’t seen since around fifth grade, it was pretty crazy but all in all, my trip was good.

Now, it’s hard to believe that it’s Thanksgiving week! I’m thankful for a lot this year, as I am sure you all are as well. From being able to race, to having a supporting and loving family, you try and take in the true meaning of Thanksgiving. We’re going to be together as a family on Thursday, so it will be nice.

The following week, myself and a couple of members from the CGH Motorsports team will make the trip to Orlando, Florida for the annual Performance Racing Industry trade show. It’s similar to Las Vegas, but centralizes around the racing community in particular. It’s three days, but it’s the Sunshine state and I’ll be surrounded by good people, so I’m hoping we can build on some of the connections we have there and hopefully make some new ones.

Our schedule slows down just a tad as I’ll be back in North Carolina for a couple of days before we head to Covington, Kentucky for the annual ARCA Racing Series championship awards banquet. I attended last year as a proud ARCA driver but was just a normal attendee. This year, we’ll be on stage accepting our eighth place championship effort.

I’m still working on a speech, but I’m hoping that recently with my three-day experience at the Dale Carnegie conference, the strategies I learned will pay off.

I’ll be back soon to catch everyone up on these upcoming experiences and talk about the three-day test coming up for the teat at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in mid-December to prepare for the 2012 season.

Count Your Blessings and have a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Chad Hackenbracht
