Leilani Münter Gearing Up For 2011
Caught in the Catchfence™
“2011 is going to be an great year,” said Leilani, “we have lots of exciting things in the works with new partnerships as well as ongoing partnerships, and some creative projects I am working on as well. I can’t wait to get started. I just found out today that an expected sponsor for Daytona didn’t come up with the funding they were hoping for, so we are still looking for sponsorship to participate in the season opener on February 12. I will still turn some laps at the test next week and hope to land a sponsor in time for the race. If not, I will start my season at Talladega on April 15.”
Leilani will be at the Detroit Auto Show and will announce her new partnership with an electric supercar on Tuesday (stay tuned for more details) so she will miss the first day of the three day ARCA open test at Daytona. However, she will be at Daytona on Wednesday and Thursday to take some laps on the new Daytona pavement.
Leilani and her team are currently speaking with a variety of sponsors that align with Leilani’s environmental activities outside of her race car. She is still working with some of the companies that appeared on her race car in 2010, as well as several new partners in the “clean energy, vegetarian, and eco friendly” categories.
