Cunningham Motorsports Searching for Drivers in ARCA Racing Series

The organization is the official driver development partner for Penske Racing, where drivers are developed in order to gain experience and knowledge to continue their careers within the Penske Racing stables. As one of the most respected teams in the racing community, Cunningham Motorsports is dedicated to delivering performance in all aspects of the motorsports platform. In the past five years of full-time competition, Cunningham Motorsports has driven to four poles, 15 wins and a best driver and ownership championship position of second, with Parker Kligerman/Mark Gibson in 2009.
With current leadership from veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship crew chief Paul Andrews, the organization is a proven contender in the ARCA Racing Series championship battle. In the last two seasons, Cunningham Motorsports’ drivers were in contention for the championship through the final race of the year. In addition, the team has completed the most laps in both 2010 and 2009, leading the most laps in 2010, while placing second in that category in 2009.
On any given weekend, as many as 6 or 7 previous Cunningham Motorsports drivers are racing in the top three NASCAR Series races.
At the 2010 ARCA Racing Series Championship Awards banquet, co-owner Kerry Scherer was awarded the Spirit Award, for his dedication and support of ARCA, his uplifting spirit by way of example, and his perseverance and positive attitude.
