Silas Joining ESR for Pocono, Michigan:
Florida native Bryan Silas has joined Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR), one of the most well-known and respected teams in the ARCA Racing Series garage area, for two upcoming events, beginning with the Pocono ARCA 200 on Saturday. He is also slated to drive the No. 6 Toyota Camry next weekend at Michigan International Speedway as well.Recording seven top-10 finishes in 2010 and one top-five finish thus far in 2011, Silas is looking to take his No. 6 Toyota Camry straight to the front this weekend. A six-year veteran of the ARCA Racing Series, Bryan posted his best finish at Pocono last fall, when he worked his way from the 20th starting spot to finish ninth. Crew chief Dave Leiner will lead the team at Pocono.
Bryan Silas on Pocono Raceway: “I’m looking forward to Pocono Raceway this weekend. It’s one of my favorite tracks on the schedule. It definitely is a trak that fits my driving style. Eddie Sharp Racing has always run good and even won there. I’m looking forward to maybe becoming a part of those statistics. I’m confident if keep our nose clean, we’ll find ourselves in the hunt for the win.”
Owner Eddie Sharp on Pocono Raceway: “Our guys have been putting a lot of work in at the shop preparing for this race and we’re all really excited to be back in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards garage area. We’ve spent some time away from the track, but we’re ready to compete for wins and continue on the path of success that we’ve traveled on in the past. Bryan will do a great job behind the wheel, and Pocono is one of our better tracks as well as his. ”
Chassis Information: Eddie Sharp Racing has prepared chassis No. 619 for Bryan Silas at Pocono. The chassis has a significant history with previous Eddie Sharp Racing drivers and has visited victory lane at Pocono Raceway in the past.
