INDIANAPOLIS, IN (6/27/2011) – In preparation for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards upcoming trip to the Lucas Oil Raceway (LOR) at Indianapolis, Coulter Motorsports is set to test at the .686-mile short track with ARCA veteran Joey Coulter. Coulter, who has never seen racing action at LOR, is prepared to get back to his short track roots as his works in his No. 16 Rip It Energy Fuel Chevrolet Impala SS on Tuesday, June 28th.

Due to inclement weather in the Clermont, IN area, Coulter Motorsports had to postpone the originally scheduled Monday afternoon test, rescheduling on Tuesday. Coulter, whose next scheduled ARCA race is the Ansell Protective Gloves 200 Thursday, July 28th, will also be participating in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at LOR on Friday, July 29th in his No. 22 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Silverado. Coulter Motorsports will be running car 010 at the test, a Chevrolet chassis that has proved fairly well at the short tracks in years past.

“I am always excited to race at new tracks, but getting to run at LOR (Lucas Oil Raceway) has really pumped me up,” commented Coulter. “In years past short tracks have been my favorite genre of track, and looking at LOR I know my Coulter Motorsports guys will give me another great Chevrolet. It’s great to be able to test, so we can get our No. 16 Rip It Energy Fuel Impala setup just right and work any bugs out before the race.”
