Max Gresham Starts Classes At Belmont Abbey College This Week
Press ReleaseTo that end, the 18-year-old Griffin, GA native will begin classes this week at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC. According to Gresham, who currently leads the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East point standings on the strength of two wins and seven top-five finishes in nine races this season, the school has the right program for him.
“My plan is to get a degree in their Business Administration/Motorsports Management program,” stated Gresham. “Belmont Abbey is a great school and a lot of my friends in racing have gone through the Business and Motorsports Marketing program there. It’s awesome that I can get a degree in a program and area that I really love.”
Gresham will live on campus this fall pulling triple duty – college classwork as well as completing the 2011-racing season for JGR in the K&N division and Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Series.
“It’s great that Belmont Abby is close enough to Charlotte so I am able to participate in anything I need to do to advance my driving career,” Gresham stated. “All freshmen at Belmont Abbey have to live on campus and I am looking forward to that. It will be great meeting new people while being able to hang with my race teams too.”
Gresham has five remaining scheduled events this fall. The first is a NASCAR K&N race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Monday, September 5. In addition to the Labor Day clash, Gresham will have K&N events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (September 23) and Dover (DE) International Speedway (September 30).
On the ARCA side of Gresham’s ARCA racing schedule are events at Salem (IN) Speedway (September 17) and Kansas Motor Speedway (October 7).
Gresham is also considering a number of late-season opportunities in the NASCAR Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series, time and funding permitting.
