Oregon, WI - The No. 44 Ansell-Menards Ford, driven by Frank Kimmel, finished 6th in last night’s Herr’s Live Life with Flavor! 200 from Madison International Speedway. Frank Kimmel qualified the Ansell-Menards Ford in the 16th position, which would require plenty of work to get his Ansell-Menards Ford through a tough field at an equally tough short track.

Frank methodically worked the Ansell-Menards Ford to the front. It wasn’t an easy task on the half mile short track, considering the preferred groove was on the very bottom of the track. This element made passing tough, in addition to providing plenty of excitement in the form of beating and banging.

Frank moved the Ansell-Menards Ford inside the top-10 before the first stretch of pit stops, but could never gain the needed track position to compete for the lead. In the end, Frank would keep the Ansell-Menards Ford out of trouble through a stint of late race yellow flags, which resulted in a solid top-10 finish.

“That was a wild race. This is a tough little track. It’s a rough surface and you bounce all over the place. Overall, I’m pleased with the finish, considering how our Ansell-Menards Ford was handling. We could never get the Ansell-Menards Ford to turn in the corner. This place is harsh on the breaks and that made it even harder to turn the car off the corners,” said Frank Kimmel after the race.
