Cornelius, NC – Frank Kimmel, driver of the No. 44 Ansell-Menards Ford in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, is prepared to challenge his home track of Salem Speedway this Saturday for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic presented by Federated Car Care. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will return to Salem Speedway for more beating and banging but this time it will be under the lights.

Salem Speedway is a tough short track located only thirty minutes from Frank’s home. It’s a track that Frank has dominated in the past, winning nine races, including his last victory in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in the fall of 2008. The nine-time ARCA Racing Series Champion will be going for his 10th win at Salem Speedway. Frank came close to victory in the spring race, finishing 3rd in his Ansell-Menards Ford.

However, Franks not the only Kimmel to cut his teeth at the oval short track, as almost every Kimmel has at some point in their racing career competed at Salem and this would include the future racing generation of the family, Frank’s son, Frank Kimmel II, and his nephew, Will Kimmel. Both young drivers are past track champions and will be in the field this weekend for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic presented by Federated Car Care.

“Salem Speedway is a part of our families racing heritage. We’ve all raced there and everyone you see at the track is friends. It’s cool being affiliated with such a tough track. It will test the very best. We need a solid run, so it would be fitting to get that win here at Salem. Not to mention, it’s nice being able to drive home to sleep in my own bed,” concluded Frank.
