Cobb to Discuss Start-and-Park Dispute on Monday’s NASCAR Race Hub on SPEED
Press Release
Advertisment

Jennifer Jo Cobb, who refused to start Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol in protest of her car owner’s instructions to start-and-park the No. 79 2nd Chance Motorsports Ford, will be a guest on Monday’s NASCAR Race Hub on SPEED at 7 p.m. ET.

Cobb will share with host Steve Byrnes her side of the story in her feud with car owner Rick Russell, with whom she parted ways at Bristol. Russell maintains that Cobb knew of his plans on Friday morning but did not express her opposition until immediately prior to the start of the race. Cob insists she wasn’t informed of Russell’s intentions until 10 minutes before the race began.

Cobb made history in the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series by becoming the highest-finishing female in points in NASCAR history. She scaled back to a partial Truck Series schedule in 2011 when she signed with 2nd Chance Motorsports in the Nationwide Series and declared her intentions to compete for the 2011 Nationwide championship.
