It was Sam Hornish, Jr.,  with a lap speed of 180.246 mph, showing the fastest way around Texas Motor Speedway during the final NNS O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 practice session.

Elliott Sadler was second fastest with a speed of 180.138 mph, and was followed by David Reutimann (179.587) who was third fastest, Jason Leffler (179.265) fourth fastest and Steve Wallace (177.585)  was the fifth fastest.

Rounding out the top-ten fastest in “Happy Hour” were Michael Annett (177.416) who was sixth fastest, Aric Almirola (176.811) seventh, Scott Wimmer (175.291) eighth, David Starr (175.143) ninth and Joe Nemechek (174.921) was tenth fastest.

The teams will return for their qualifying session this evening, which is scheduled to get underway at 5:05 PM (EST) before the drop of the green flag a little after 8:30 PM (EST).
