CONCORD, N.C. (April 11, 2011) – Kenny Wallace earned his fifth top-20 finish of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season Friday night when he piloted the No. 09 American Ethanol Toyota to a 20th place finish after 200 laps of racing in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). The race also marked the debut of American Ethanol as a primary sponsor at select events on the No. 09 Toyota Camry fielded by RAB Racing with Brack Maggard.

Making the first of two trips to the “Lone Star State” during the 2011 season, Wallace and RAB Racing participated in three of the four scheduled NNS practices leading up to the Friday night event. After his qualifying attempt on the 1.5-mile quad-oval, Wallace posted a speed fast enough to slot into the 22nd starting position, his sixth top-25 qualifying effort in six NNS starts this season.

Wallace, a 47-year-old veteran hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, took the green flag Friday night for the first Nationwide Series night race of the 2011 season. Sporting a new black and green paint scheme on the No. 09 Toyota Camry reflecting the primary race sponsor, American Ethanol, Wallace was not on track long before expressing handling concerns with his RAB Racing Crew Chief, Scott Zipadelli. Working to make adjustments over the first half of the event, Wallace was scored 19th on lap 100.

Continuing to battle handling woes over the second half of the race, Wallace remained inside the top-25 before ending the day in the 20th position. The finish moved Wallace down one position in the driver point standings to ninth heading into the next NNS event at Talladega Superspeedway.

Catch Wallace and the RAB Racing with Brack Maggard team as they travel to Talladega, Alabama, for the Aaron’s 312 at one of NASCAR’s most exciting tracks. Live coverage begins Saturday, April 16th, at 3PM EST on ESPN2 and on MRN at 2:30PM EST.
