Elliott Sadler, with a qualifying lap speed of 179.558 mph, captured the NNS Aaron’s 312 Coors Light Pole Award at Talladega Superspeedway.

This was Sadler’s first series pole of the 2011 season, his seventh series career pole and his first series pole at Talladega Superspeedway.

Sharing the front row with Sadler, and with a qualifying lap speed of 179.373 mph, will be his fellow Kevin Harvick, Inc., teammate Clint Bowyer,followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. (179.115) starting third, Jamie McMurray (178.560) starting fourth and Trevor Bayne (178.427) starting in the fifth position.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Carl Edwards (178.297) who will start sixth, Joey Logano (178.089) seventh, Michael Annett (178.059) eighth, Jason Leffler (178.042) ninth, and Aric Almirola (178.039) will start in the tenth position.

The current series points leader, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., will start from the 14th-position.

Only 43 cars attempted qualifying, so there was no one who failed to make the starting lineup.

The cars are impounded, and the teams will not return to the track until Saturday afternoon for the start of the Aaron’s 312, which is scheduled to get underway a little after 3:00 PM (EST).
