Hamlin on Racing at Richmond:
“Richmond is my favorite place to race. It’s my hometown track and a place where I have had some of the biggest wins of my career. It’s been a while since I have won there in the Nationwide Series so I am excited to get back into the #20 Sport Clips Toyota this weekend. It’s always fun to get in these Joe Gibbs Racing Nationwide cars and I feel like a big part of the development of this team. I drove this #20 car for a long time early in my career and it still means a lot to me.”
“It’s exciting to have Sport Clips on board this weekend and also as a supporter of my foundation race. They have been with Gibbs for a long time now supporting the Nationwide teams and they’ve had a lot of success. They are big race fans I am hoping to give them another good race this weekend.”
“Every time I come back to Richmond it’s a busy weekend but this weekend is especially big. Between my Denny Hamlin Foundation race on Thursday, the Nationwide Race on Friday and the Sprint Cup race on Saturday night there is a lot of racing – and great competition. It’s certainly going to be a unique experience for me and I hope the fans will come out for all three races.”
