(Monroe, North Carolina May 25, 2011) Jay Robinson Racing and MAXelenceTM are happy to announce that Derrike Cope, former Daytona 500 Champion, will be returning to drive for the #28 Jay Robinson Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series Team in Charlotte this weekend. Cope, who was racing in The Showdown in Charlotte for the ALL STAR RACE last weekend at CMS, was involved in a horrific crash on the 2nd lap of the OPEN event. “We are very happy that Derrike was not injured in the mishap last weekend and is ready to climb back in the #28 MAXelenceTM ride at Charlotte.
