Bliss / Green Ready for Third NNS Stand-Alone Event of Season
Mike Bliss:
- Mike Bliss will be competing in his 226th career Nationwide Series event this weekend and his sixth at Chicagoland Speedway. In five NNS races he has completed 93.5% of the total laps and has scored two top-10 finishes.
- Bliss has a best start of 6th (2004) and scored his best finish of 9th in 2009.š
Jeff Green:
- Jeff Green will be competing in his 291st Nationwide Series event and his fourth at the 1.5-mile speedway.š In three events, he has completed 75.3% of the total laps and has scored two top-five finishes.
- Green hasn’t competed at the Chicagoland Speedway since 2005 when an engine failure relegated him to a 38th-place finish.
This Week’s Impalas for Bliss and Green:
- Crew Chief Paul Clapprood has chosen to utilize chassis No 10 this weekend for Bliss. This chassis was used during last weekend’s event at Charlotte Motor Speedway where Bliss recorded an 18th-place finish.
- Todd Myers, crew chief of the No. 44 Impala, has chosen chassis No. 6 for this weekend’s event. Green also ran the same chassis last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
