Michigan International Speedway — June 18, 2011

- Camry driver Kyle Busch (third) was the highest finishing Toyota in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)
race at Michigan International Speedway.

- Joey Logano (sixth) also earned a top-10 finish for Toyota in the 250-mile event at the two-mile oval.
Steve Wallace (14th), Brian Scott (17th), David Reutimann (18th), Michael Annett (19th), Kenny Wallace (20th) and
Joe Nemechek (21st) were also in the field.

- Five Camry drivers are currently in the top-15 in the unofficial NNS point standings following 12 of 35 races in the
2011 season — K. Wallace (seventh), S. Wallace (eighth), Scott (ninth), Annett (10th) and Joe Nemechek (20th).

Finishing Position: 3rd

How was your race today?

“It was great racing there at the end with Paul (Menard). That was fun. We had a good time and put on a good show
hopefully. We were back and forth a little bit there — him on the bottom and me on the top. He got away from me and I
finally found something. You can change your line six inches up in the top lane and it’s all the difference. I found
something about six inches different, ran him back down and wasn’t sure if I could get back by him or not but we did right
there coming to the checkered.

It was fun, but the guys on this Pizza Ranch Camry they did a good job today — this
weekend and this year. They’ve really been trying to get our cars faster, getting more grip out of these things, building
more speed down the straightaways. We’re behind a little bit in everything, but a third-place run like that — the top two
dogs, they were gone. There wasn’t catching them. We came off with a good, solid run today and hoping that these guys can carry on that momentum next week into the road course.”

Did you have fun racing with Mark Martin and Paul Menard today?

“It was a good day for us for what we had. The Pizza Ranch Camry was decent, just not quite good enough to run with the top two guys there and fortunately we snuck out of third. We probably should’ve finished fourth, but we got a third there at the end with Paul (Menard). Early in the day, we were racing with Mark (Martin) and there at the end too with that final restart pushing him along, trying to get him out and see if we couldn’t get in front of Carl (Edwards) and single out and I could go after him and try to lead a lap.

But, didn’t quite get the opportunity for that. The Roush Ford was just too fast. Good job by those guys and Ricky (Stenhouse) here did a good job. I would’ve rather see you (Ricky Stenhouse) win. No offense to Carl (Edwards), but it’s good to see the young guys getting the opportunities to win some races. We’ll take our third and move on in a couple of weeks.”

Can you apply what you learned in today’s race to tomorrow’s NSCS race?

“Yeah, certainly you can. It’s definitely something that you can work towards at being able to change your line just a little bit each and every lap. Cup cars drive so much differently though, so I was trying to get used to the top and how you run around there today — kind of like California. That’s what helped me out there. I’d like to be able to take what I learned today and apply it for tomorrow and hopefully we can have a good solid day then too.”

Are you getting frustrated that you haven’t surpassed Mark Martin’s wins record?

“I made up a lot of ground awfully fast so you can look at it two ways. We certainly won a lot of races in three years so
maybe I shouldn’t be in this position so fast, but yet it is a little frustrating that we’re not able to get another win to tie and then another win to break. We’ve been close — seems like every week we’re a solid third, fourth, fifth-place car. It’s just trying to beat these other two guys that every week are the class of the field — the 60 (Carl Edwards) and the 6 (Ricky Stenhouse). It’s frustrating, yeah, because you lose to the same guys every week, but one of these days we should have our opportunity and hoping it’s sooner rather than later.”

How was your race today?

“Our guys did a really good job I think. The pit crew was spectacular all day. They made good adjustments on our car to
make it better throughout the race. I thought we may have had something — those Fords are really fast. We were close there on that last restart and started on the bottom and it’s just one guy gets underneath you and one is on the outside. When two cars are door to door that third car is such a run and that’s what happened. I got shuffled back and shuffled back and never had any momentum. I went all the way back to 11th or 12th and I had to pass them back to get back to where we were. I had a good race with Mark (Martin) and Elliott (Sadler) there at the end. That was a lot of fun. I was coming along and saying ‘Did I get them? Did I get them?’ It was a lot of fun and a good job by the GameStop guys today. We just need to find some more speed in our car somewhere. Not sure where it’s at, but we need to find some more.”
