MacDonald Motorsports @ Nashville….. In 12 career starts at the concrete oval near Nashville, TN, MacDonald Motorsports has 6 top-25 finishes. Their best start and finish were both by Bobby Hamilton Jr. in the June race of 2009. Bobby started the race in 21st and brought the team a solid 14th place result.

Blake Koch on Nashville….. “It will be nice to go back to a track that I’ve been to before. I think it will help a lot because we can practice on race set-up rather than me learning the track. 3 Rookie of the Race awards in a row would be huge for us and really make it close between me and Timmy so I hope we can pull it off.”

5 points behind Hill in ROY….. With two straight “Rookie of the Race” awards Blake has closed the gap in the Rookie of the Year chase. He now trails Timmy Hill by just 5 points heading into this weekend. Blake was able to outrun Hill in the first race at Nashville and could really make it close by duplicating that this weekend.

Returning to Nashville….. This is the first repeat track of the year for the Nationwide Series. This should really benefit Blake as a rookie just as it did earlier this year in Iowa. That was the only track in which he had raced on before and he used that experience to help him earn a 21st place finish and Rookie of the Race. In Blake’s first run in Nashville he brought home a 25th place finish so hopefully he can improve on that and bring home a top-20.

Blake appearances this weekend….. Blake will be a busy man this weekend leading up to the race on Saturday. Wednesday night at 7 p.m. he will be speaking at Oasis Church, Thursday at 9 a.m. he will be at the Nashville YMCA, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. he will be at Camp Widgiwagan. Race day he will be taking part in the Nationwide Autograph session and speaking at the Nationwide hospitality tent about his battle for Rookie of the Year.
