McClure Visits Sponsor’s Home for Race 28 on Schedule:
- Saturday’s NNS race at Chicagoland Speedway will mark McClure’s 165th career start and his sixth at the 1.5-mile speedway.
- The Virginia driver’s 18th-place finish in June was his best finish at the speedway, but his best start came in 2010 (22nd).
- McClure’s primary sponsors, Hefty® brand and Reynolds®, are located in Lake Forest, IL which is just north of Chicago; this season mark’s McClure’s sixth season of representing the Hefty® brand.
- Crew Chief Gary Cogswell has chosen to utilize chassis No. 7 for Saturday’s event. This chassis was last run at Montreal where the team finished a disappointing 36th after being caught up in an early accident.
Through its association with the Hefty® and Reynolds® brands, Dominick’s®, one of the most successful food chains in America, will make its first appearance on the No. 14 Chevrolet of Eric McClure during Saturday’s Dollar General 300.
Not only will the Dominick’s® logo appear on McClure’s TV panel but the team will also host several guests from Dominick’s® at the race on Saturday.
