Brian Scott, with a qualifying lap speed of 176.748 mph, captured his first NNS career pole, and will lead the field to the drop of the Dollar General 300 green flag at Chicagoland Speedway.

Sharing the front row with Scott, and starting second with a qualifying lap speed of 176.626 mph, will be Brad Keselowski, followed by Paul Menard (175.999) starting third, Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Ryan Truex (175.873) fourth and Elliott Sadler (175.518) starting from fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Aric Almirola (174.984) starting sixth, Sam Hornish Jr. (174.950) seventh, Joey Logano (174.933) eighth, Trevor Bayne (174.921) ninth and Carl Edwards (174.746) will start from tenth.

Failing to make the starting lineup were the #44 driven  by Angela Cope; #47 driven by Brian Keselowski; #13 driven by Jennifer Jo Cobb and the #42 driven by Tim Andrews.

Today’s Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola is scheduled to get underway approximately around 3:50 PM (EDT) later this afternoon, and ESPN2 will begin their pre-race coverage at 3:00 PM (EDT).
