McClure Ready for “The Monster”

- This weekend will mark Eric McClure’s 166th Nationwide Series start, and his tenth at the one-mile, concrete speedway.

- In nine NNS starts the Virginia driver has completed 95.2% of the laps and has an average finish of 25.4.š His best start and finish at the track came in 2009 where he started 18th and finished in the 23rd position.

- Earlier this year, when the series made its first trip to “The Monster Mile”, McClure was on track to post a career-best finish until he ran out of fuel during the first attempt at green-white-checkered finish.š As a result, he posted a 25th-place finish.

- The team has chosen chassis No. 9 for this weekend’s event.š It was last used at Atlanta Motor Speedway where the team recorded a 28th-place finish.

“We really need some good luck for a change. We had a solid run in the spring but a fuel pickup problem on the first green-white-checkered attempt left us with a tough finish. Hopefully we are able to back-up our on-track performance, get some good luck, and have a great finish.”
