GAFFNEY, S.C. (October 4, 2011) – Mike Wallace and the No. 01 IHateStevenSinger.com Chevrolet team of JD Motorsports knows the task at hand in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday. Take back the points they lost last week because of a broken sway bar bracket at Dover.

And, in looking at Wallace’s past history at the 1.5-mile oval of Kansas, he and the team are coming to a pretty good place to do just that, too. He’s proven himself a worthy competitor on the Midwestern track in his past starts.

With their new marketing partner of Steven Singer Jewelers on board as of last week, they also have a little extra incentive to have a good showing for them, as well. They will be with the team for the remainder of the year.

Mike Wallace info to make you go, “Ohhh…”

· This will be career start No. 412 for the St. Louis native; in which he’s won four races during the span

· For the 2011 season, Wallace will be making his 30th start of the year. Through those first 30 races, he’s earned one top-five, two top-10s and led six races for a total of 12 laps.

· He’s completed 90 percent (4,874 of 5,397) laps of competition

· Four of his last six races have been finishes in the top-20 positions

· He’s currently 13th in points, trailing 12th by 27 markers

· As far as Kansas goes, he’s made nine previous starts at the track

· During that span, he’s had top-20 finishes in the last three visits

· In this race last year, he led 10 laps en route to a 12th-place finish

· Wallace has completed 92.1 percent (1,662 of 1,804) laps contested

· His best finish was 10th, which he achieved in both 2001 and 2007

Mike Wallace Quotes:

“This has been a pretty good track for me in the past and I don’t see any reason why we can’t duplicate those results this weekend. This team of JD Motorsports gives it their all every week and we plan to do just that in Kansas.”

“While this track is laid out like the other 1.5-mile tracks we seem to race on more than anything, this one has a different feel to it when you race there. You don’t have the banking like you do at Charlotte, Atlanta and Texas.”

“If anything, this track is more like a Chicagoland or Kentucky. Those have been pretty decent tracks for me in the past, and I hope to continue what we’ve been doing at Kansas, as well.”

“We had a tough break last week with that track bar bracket, but we’re confident we won’t have that happen again to our IHateStevenSinger.com Chevrolet. I think it’s safe to say by now everyone now knows we don’t REALLY hate Steven Singer. And, they can go to his site for some great jewelry deals to find out why they shouldn’t hate him, either.”
