2011 NNS Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage First Practice Session Speeds

Paul Menard, with a lap speed of 182.939 mph, was the fastest during the first NNS Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage practice session at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Second fastest and with a lap speed of 181.044 mph, was Ricky Stenhouse Jr., followed by Trevor Bayne (180.905) who was third fastest, Elliott Sadler (180.590) fourth fastest and Brad Keselowski (180.264) was fifth fastest.
Rounding out the top-ten fastest during practice were Justin Allgaier (180.060) who was sixth fastest, Brian Vickers (179.796) seventh, Joey Logano (179.760) eighth, Sam Hornish Jr. (179.706) ninth and Kasey Kahne (179.689) posting the tenth fastest lap speed.
The teams will return to the track later this evening for their 6:10 PM – 7:00 PM (ET) scheduled “Happy Hour” (final) practice session, and then return on Friday afternoon for their 3:10 PM (ET) qualifying session to determine the starting lineup for that evening’s race (which is scheduled to get underway approximately around 7:45 PM – ET).
