After battling back from hitting the wall early in the race, Carl Edwards held off Kyle Busch by 0.223 seconds to win the NNS Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This was Edwards’ 8th series win of the 2011 season, his 37th series career win and his 2nd series win at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Following Edwards and Busch to the drop of the checkered flag were Trevor Bayne finishing in third, Elliott Sadler (who now trails Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., by 15-points for the series points lead) finishing fourth and Brian Scott finished in the fifth position.

The 2010 series champion, Brad Keselowski (who led the most laps – 119 out of 200) finished in sixth, while Justin Allgaier finished seventh, Paul Menard eighth, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ninth and Brian Vickers rounding out the top-ten finishing positions.
