McClure Looking for Redemption at Texas Motor Speedway:
- Saturday’s event will mark the Virginia driver’s 169th career start and his 11th at the speedway.
- Despite having an average finish of 30.5, McClure considers Texas one of his favorite tracks on the circuit.
- In 10 prior events, McClure has a best finish of 19th (Nov 2009) and has only recorded two DNFs (2007/2008).
- In the series’ first visit to TMS, the Hefty Racing® team was forced to the garage area to repair a leaking fuel cable adapter. Although the team was able to return to the track they were credited with a 31st-place finish.
- This weekend the team will utilize chassis No. 9. It was last run at Charlotte Motor Speedway where the team spent several laps in the garage area replacing a broken rocker arm in the engine.š As a result the team finished in the 31st position.
Cattlemen’s Steakhouse Continues Partnership
For the fourth consecutive season, the famed Cattlemen’s Steakhouse of Forth Worth, Texas will partner with the Hefty Racing® team. Their logo will be placed on deck lid of the No. 14 Impala during all track activities beginning on Friday, November 4, 2011.

“I am really looking forward to getting back to Texas. We didn’t have the best of luck here in the spring and spent a lot of time in the garage area repairing a broken part, but we had been pretty respectable prior to that. After all of the bad luck we have had this year, I hope we will be able to break this streak and have a good run this weekend.”
