All the pieces are finally coming together for Jeffrey Earnhardt, the 21-year-old grandson of seven-time NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt.

The son of Kerry Earnhardt will start the racing season firing both barrels. He’ll make his first Daytona start behind the wheel of a GT class Porsche 911 in the Rolex 24 At Daytona sportscar endurance race from Jan. 29-30

After he catches his breath from that experience, Earnhardt will compete in the Feb. 18 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250, a 100-lap dash over Daytona International Speedway’s 2.5-mile tri-oval.

“I am so pumped,” Earnhardt said in a recent phone interview. “Not only will I run the full Truck Series with Rick Ware Racing, but we are working on trying to get some more things put together. We’ll see.”
