It’s time to go racing under the lights at South Boston Speedway

A total of five races are slated Saturday night. The first event of the evening will get the green flag at 7 p.m.
Highlighting the night of racing will be twin 75-lap races for the competitors in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series. Through two races in 2011, there have been two Late Model Stock Car victors.
Peyton Sellers and Philip Morris, both former NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champions, have scored victories in 2011 against strong fields of competition.
Also scheduled Saturday night will be action for the Limited Sportsman Division, the Budweiser Pure Stock Division and the Southern Vintage Modifieds.
Justin Snow owns wins in two of the three Limited Sportsman Division races that have been held thus far this season and Brian Pembelton has also motored to Victory Lane. Snow and Pembelton were each winners when twin Limited Sportsman races were held last weekend.
In the Budweiser Pure Stock Division ranks this season, there have also been two winners in two events. Bill Edwards won the season-opening Pure Stock clash, while Randy Hupp picked up a victory last weekend.
Pit registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Practice for all divisions will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and qualifying time trials will get underway at 5:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5 p.m. and admission will be $10 for adults and children six and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.
