We want to reach out to them just as many areas reached out to us with Isabel.’’

Its local on-air personalities, racing celebrities from Langley Speedway also other regional tracks will be on the show during its 50-hour run. Many of them will be at the speedway to accept donations. There also will be locations at several Hampton Roads business where listeners and race fans can drop off checks.

“We’re reaching out to everyone in Hampton Roads to raise as much as we can to benefit the victims of this terrible natural disaster,’’ said track owner Bill Mullis. “We encourage all our loyal listeners and race fans to make donations to help the victims of our neighbors out in Pulaski County. Thousands of people donated and helped us when Hurricane Isabel came through here. Now, we have a similar opportunity to help other people who are in need because of a natural disaster.”
