(Clover, SC) April 13, 2011 - Ganassi claimed their sixth-straight win in North America’s premier sports car series with Performance Friction calipers, discs, and pads. The long line of consecutive victories has proven that Performance Friction Brakes are undoubtedly the absolute best brakes in sports car racing. The winning streak continued at Barber Motorsports Park on Saturday for Performance Friction Brakes and the No. 01 TELMEX BMW/Riley driven by Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas. The Ganassi Daytona Prototype team pulled off their sixth straight win in Grand-Am Rolex Series competition. The team won the last three races in 2010 and has now won the first three races of 2011 including the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona. All six races were won using Performance Friction calipers, discs and pads.

The sixth win in a row was no easy feat for the Ganassi team as the competition came to Barber prepared to end the winning streak. Several teams led portions of the race including the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona DP which was also equipped with a full Performance Friction Brake package. The No. 90 dominated much of the race but lost a cylinder in the final hour and ended up with a ninth place finish. During the race there was no shortage of excitement as cars were trading paint and sliding off the track on multiple occasions. The 25,000 fans on site loved every minute of the sports car slug fest. In the end, the Ganassi No.01 DP took off and beat the 2^nd place Gainsco DP by 28.954 seconds.

In addition to the DP class victory, Performance Friction took second place in GT with Banner Racing’s Chevrolet Camaro driven by Gavin/Schaldach on a full PFC setup. The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race produced great results for PFC as well with two podium finishes in both Grand Sport and the Street Tuner Class. Notable finishers in GS included the winner, Multimatic Motorsport’s Mustang Boss 302R of Foster/Maxwell with PFC pads and Jack Roush Jr./Billy Johnson’s Mustang in 3^rd place with PFC pads and discs. In ST the 2^nd and 3^rd place BMWs were both running PFC brakes.
