Press ReleaseStanley, NC 4/19/11- Coming of his first top five of the season at The Race 300 at North Wilkesboro Speedway; Andy Loden will return to his home track of Hickory Motor Speedway for the Easter Bunny 150. The Easter weekend event has annually become the PASS South series most attended event amongst competitors, and while Loden has won three consecutive track championships from 2006-2008 in late model stock cars he has yet to reach the podium in PASS South competition at the 3/8th mile facility. Armed with home track fan support along with home track knowledge of what it takes to make his #29 Chevy Impala work on the high side, the chances of Andy getting his first podium at the track that has treated him well in the past is good.

QUOTES:
A Look Back:
-Looking back to a season ago, how did your 2010 Easter Bunny 150 go?
“I know last year around fifty cars showed up for the race which was pretty cool to see. I had a good car last year, one I think that was capable of winning the race. We set fast time in qualifying, then started eighth after the redraw, and just stayed out of trouble racing inside the top ten until their were fifty laps or so left in the race and then got tangled up with Preston (Peliter) coming out of four. After that we had to fix the car in the pits and go to the rear of the field, I think we finished one of the last cars on the lead lap in thirteenth.”
Hi My Name Is:
-Your nickname, “High Side Andy Loden”, you earned racing at Hickory over the years; can you race on the high side in these super late models like you did in the late model stock cars there?
“We won a lot of races running on the high side there those three years we won the track championships. It took those guys a few years to figure out how to get their cars to work on the high groove. Even though there’s not a lot of grip up there you can make it work if you have your car set up right. It makes passing a lot easier, plus it helps save your tires over these longer races.”
Home Sweet Home:
-Obviously being a three time track champion at the Hickory Motor Speedway shows you know how to get around the place; how much do you look forward to this race every year?
“Hickory is a track that I want to win at in one of these super late models pretty bad. I’ve got a lot of fans up that way that have supported us over the years so it would be nice to win in front of them. The Easter Bunny 150 race has become one of the races over last few years that guys from all over the country come to race. To be fortunate enough to win it would be a huge accomplishment to my career.”
