Gary Crooks Readies for First Race as Brad Keselowski Racing Driver Development Leader
Press ReleaseWhile the 150 lap event at the track often referred to as “The Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars” will be combo’s first sniff at competition it won’t be the first time the two have worked together. Several testing sessions have went well for the two, and while expectations are record setting an achievable goal heading into this weekend’s race is definitely on the agenda.
“Our main goal for Landon is to get some laps under his belt in a racing environment and bring the car home in one piece. If we can achieve that goal the first race out together I would call it a success,” said Crooks. “Like I told him when we were testing, I want to see him manage his equipment and be able to race for whatever position he is in and not have to struggle to hold on to the handle of his race car in the closing laps.”
The PASS South Easter Bunny 150 kicks off Saturday with practice starting at 1:30 pm followed by qualifying at 5pm. At approximately 8 pm the green flag will wave on the 2011 season for Landon Cling and his Brad Keselowski Racing team headed by Gary Crooks.
