Advertisment

For the last two years, NASCAR star Michael Waltrip and business partner Rob Kauffman have traveled the world competing in a variety of endurance races. Now after making their debut at Le Mans last weekend, the duo are looking to take their sportscar effort to the next level.

Kauffman has confirmed to SPEED.com that Michael Waltrip Racing is evaluating a possible expansion into sportscar racing by as early as next year. Programs in the American Le Mans Series, GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and Intercontinental Le Mans Cup are all being evaluated.
