Brandon McReynolds qualifies on front row, gathers experience at Richmond
Press Release
He battled with Busch, the race leader, for the first 24 laps before a broken right front shock mount ended his night prematurely. McReynolds was registered with a 29th-place finish in the race benefiting the Denny Hamlin Foundation.
“I was having a lot of fun out there racing with Kyle Busch and the other [NASCAR Sprint] Cup guys,” said McReynolds. “I have to thank Jesse Jones Hot Dogs and Concession U for coming on board the Late Model.”
In addition to the Showdown, McReynolds piloted the No. 37 SofComfort Insoles / Great Play Chevrolet to a 16th-place finish in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Richmond, after qualifying 17th.
“The K&N race provided some great seat time at a track that I plan on coming back to,” said McReynolds. “The Spraker Racing team worked hard to prepare a car and I appreciate their effort along with the support of SofComfort and Great Play.”
