Scott Speed will attempt IndyCar debut at Indy 500

Speed would be eligible to compete for a $5 million bonus posted by IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard for any driver for another series who wins the race. As a teammate to Ho Pin Tung, Speed would be sponsored by Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka, American Racing Wheels and Vizio in his attempt to make the Indy 500 for Dragon.
If he makes the field of the centennial running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, it would mark the IndyCar debut for Speed.
“It’s an honor to be able to partner with Jay Penske, Dragon Racing, and a Hoosier legend like Fuzzy Zoeller for this year’s Indy 500 and my debut in the IndyCar Series,” said Speed, who ran the past two Sprint Cup seasons with Red Bull Racing. “Having the ability to compete in the Indy 500 is a dream for any racing driver, and I am proud to be partnered with Jay Penske in our attempt to drink the milk and win the biggest race in the world.”
