Casey Smith Completely Focused on Getting Back To His Past Success
Press Release
“I really was questioning how we ran last race out at both Pensacola and Mobile. As I kept thinking about it I would get more and more pissed off because we use to run real good at both places. The more I thought about it the more I came to the realization that I just need to refocus on my racing career and take that business like approach like I use to when I was at the race track,” stated Smith, when referring to his last couple of years behind the wheel of his #99 super late model. “I’ve had all kinds of things going on lately and over the past few years, but now its about getting back to winning races because that’s the one thing in I’ve missed the last couple of years the most.”
Smith is a former track champion at both Mobile Int’l Speedway and the South Alabama Speedway located in Opp, Alabama so going fast in the Yellowhammer state. While the same level of success hasn’t occurred at Five Flags Speedway several runner ups in both single race events and track championship points standings does describe how he has run well there in the past.
Round three of the Gulf Coast Championship kicks off Friday June 24th at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. From there the team will head west to Mobile, Alabama for night two, Saturday June 25th, at the ultra fast half-mile that is Mobile Int’l Speedway. Racing gets underway both nights at 8pm.
