KV Racing Technology – SH Racing Doesn’t Turn a Wheel for Second Day in a Row at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Press Release
Scheckter, 30, driving the No. 07 Team REDLINE Xtreme machine, has spent most of his 10th Indianapolis 500 campaign in the garage thanks to mother nature. This was supposed to be day five of practice, however there has now been just one full day (Monday), a disrupted rain day (Opening Day, Saturday), two cancelled days due to rain and yesterday the temperatures never reached above 50F so team officials decided not to go on track. Unfortunately Monday, the only full day, Schecker was progressing steadily through his program before having to retire early with a small mechanical issue.
Over the past five days, Scheckter has posted a fast lap of 221.204mph and run a total of 20 laps.
The team will be looking to continue practice tomorrow from 12 – 6pm ET, in preparation for the Indianapolis 500 qualifying this Saturday, May 21. The 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 will be held Sunday, May 29. It will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET.
