Indianapolis, IN (May 19, 2011) -After two consecutive days of not being able to practice, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing made the most of the great weather conditions. DRR drivers, Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), Ana Beatriz (No. 24 Ipiranga), Paul Tracy (No. 23 WIX Filters), and Davey Hamilton (No. 11 HP), were able to get back on track. The quartet made good progress and capitalized on track with their respective cars for the sixth day of practice for this year’s 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.

At first, it looked like the weather was going to threaten practice, but the sun started shining and the DRR drivers managed to get plenty of track time in. Today was all about teamwork for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. The four drivers worked diligently together and continued to chip away at the race setup. As the day progressed, they were able to start preparing the cars for this weekend’s qualifying.

It was another successful day for Tracy. The Canadian, pilot of the No. 23 WIX Filters car, was the fastest of the four with a speed of 225.906 miles per hour. He logged a total of 54 laps, putting him 12th overall. Wilson, in the No. 22 Z-Line Designs machine, clocked a lap speed of 225.648 mph and was 15th among the 40 drivers on track. The Brit completed 59 laps today. Hamilton in the No. 11 HP logged 62 laps with a best of 223.889 mph, which put him in 33rd position.

Beatriz, in the No. 24 Ipiranga car, accomplished a lot for today’s practice session. The Brazilian completed the most laps of the four drivers. She was able to get in plenty of track time as she did 76 laps, recording a top speed of 224.123 mph, making her 31st quickest for the session.

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be on track tomorrow from noon until 6:00 pm for day four of practice for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. For more updates on the team, please visit www.dreyerreinboldracing.com.

Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: “I think it was a good day. We learned lots of stuff and the Z-Line Designs car was pretty quick and we were consistent out there on our own. We managed to put a time up there with a draft, but it really doesn’t mean much and fortunately we don’t have to draft in qualifying, it’s solo. Overall, I think that we are in reasonable shape.”

Paul Tracy, No. 23 WIX Filters: “Overall, with the speed of the car, we seemed to hit it right a couple of times today, but since the track has gotten back to green we are a little bit inconsistent of where we want to be through the tire cycle life. I think that we still need to work on getting the balance a little bit better and achieve better runs through the tire lives. The car is changing quite a lot from run to run. We will go back and evaluate it all. We ended up pretty good on the time charts in 12th position. I’m pretty happy with where we are at. We are up with all of the top teams. For the race I think we need to make the car a little bit more consistent.”

Ana Beatriz, No. 24 Ipiranga: “I think today was great. We did about 70 laps and we made a lot of improvements. We found a lot of stuff, but we still need to improve. We need to check how the tow report was. I think we did a good speed by ourselves, but people just kept improving out there so we don’t know for sure if they did that by themselves or if they had a tow. We have one more day before qualifying and hopefully we can find more speed and be secure on Saturday.”

Davey Hamilton, No. 11 HP: “We gained today and it’s just a mystery, because honestly I don’t know where we stand as far as by ourselves. Everyone is getting a tow and I had a little bit of a tow, but I know what I can do on my own. We are just going to have to wait and see what happens on Saturday. We will gain more speed. I’m not trimmed out like I need to be yet, but tomorrow is the day to do that and hopefully we can get to that point.”
