Ft. Worth, Texas (April 8, 2011) – Phoenix Racing and the No. 09 Security Benefits/Thank a Teacher Today Chevrolet will start 24th in Saturday night’s 15th Annual Samsung Mobile 500 at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway.  The team, with driver Landon Cassill behind the wheel, put in one of their best laps of the week and will start outside of the 12th row Saturday night.  It is the best start of the year for Phoenix Racing.

“I felt like we had a top-25 car going into qualifying,” stated General Manager, Steve Barkdoll.  “Landon has really been fast in all the practice sessions. He certainly did a great job in qualifying and that gives us a lot of momentum heading into Saturday night.”

Saturday night’s race is a 500-mile affair that will be contested under the lights of the fast Texas Motor Speedway.  Cassill has a career best 18th-place finish at the track in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.  This will be his second start at the track in the Sprint Cup Series.

“I really think we can have the best run for the team and for Landon tomorrow night,” continued Barkdoll.  “We have a great car, with great support from Security Benefit, and the Thank a Teacher Today Chevrolet is just running really well.  We are all feeling good that this can be one of our best runs of the year Saturday night.”

The Samsung Mobile 500 is schedule to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on FOX.
