Juan Pablo Montoya, with a lap speed of 128.639 mph, captured the NSCS Crown Royal presents the Matthew & Daniel Hansen 400 Coors Light Pole Award at Richmond International Raceway.

This was Montoya’s second series pole of the 2011 season (first came at the Auto Club 400) his seventh series career pole, and his first series pole at Richmond International Raceway.

Starting in second place and on the outside pole with a qualifying lap speed of 128.382 mph, will be Regan Smith, followed by Clint Bowyer (128.272) who will start third, Kasey Kahne (128.150) starting fourth and Mark Martin (128.053) will start in the fifth position.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Jeff Gordon (128.011) starting in the sixth position, Brad Keselowski (128.011) seventh, Carl Edwards (128.005) eighth, Joey Logano (127.980) ninth and Paul Menard (127.956) will start from the tenth position.

Failing to make the field was the #92 driven by Brian Keselowski.

The Crown Royal 400 is scheduled to get underway a little after 7:30 PM (EST) Saturday evening.
