NASCAR Penalizes Kyle Busch And Kevin Harvick For Infractions At Darlington Raceway
Press Release
Busch, driver of the No. 18 car, and Harvick, driver of the No. 29 car, have each been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship points events until June 15 for violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing – involved in an altercation on pit road after the conclusion of the race).
“These penalties are a result of what occurred on pit road after the race was over,” said Kerry Tharp, senior director for communications, competition. “They are about maintaining a safe environment on pit road.”

“Actions detrimental to stock car racing”…seriously? Look at the NASCAR website views the past 48 hours. Look at the ratings on TV still high. Let them &#!%ing have at it’…its good for the sport. Not Detrimental. If you have to fine someone, then fine Busch for spinning out a driverless, uncontrollable racecar on pit road. But fighting….let them!!!
If Kyle hadn’t of punted the car down pit road, putting crews and officials
in harms way, then the situation should of been treated like NASCAR
treated the Jeff Gordon and Jeff Burton altercation last year. But, since this
situation was very similar to what Kyle’s brother, Kurt, did in 2007 when he
slammed into Tony Stewart’s car on pit road (spinning Stewart’s car out of
control and sending it into the pit wall) in retaliation, the fine for
Busch at the time was $100,000 and 100 points taken away. Once again NASCAR
shows how consistent at being inconsistent they can be, and sends the message
that for only $25,000, you can punt an unmanned car down pit road as an
unguided missile, and put crew members and officials in harms way.

Kyle Busch should be the only one fined! K.Busch should also lose some points. As for k.Harvick good for him, finally someone that isn’t going to take @%*! from that snot nosed Busch. Good for Kevin Harvick!!
Am I the only 1 who catches that the probation includes the next 4 “points” races? Wonder just how many All Star Race tickets that 1 sold today? No points, no probation! I’m just saying.
