“I’d like to congratulate all the NASCAR Hall of Fame inductees, but send a special congratulations to Bobby Allison, one of my personal inspirations.”

“My first job in auto racing was back in 1992, working for Bobby Allison Motorsports. I worked for many, many months for free, just to get my foot in the door. And it just happened to be with the legendary Bobby Allison.”

“The great part about Bobby was that he was very cool, he was exceptionally nice and he really cared about people. I was the low man on the team, brand new to racing, and he always took the time to ask me how I was doing and genuinely seemed interested in me.”

“He got to know people, and that shows today with some of the most important people – his fans. Of all his qualities, the one thing that is quintessential Bobby Allison is how he cares about his fans; and how his fans care about him. His fans recognize the poise he has shown through tragedy, and they appreciate the humility he has shown through fame.”

“Words cannot express how happy I am for Bobby, his family and all his fans on his Hall of Fame induction.”

Roger Curtis
President
Michigan International Speedway
