On a green-white-checkered (flag) restart, Kevin Harvick capitalized on the misfortune of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who ran out of fuel coming to the checkered flag, to win the NSCS  Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This was Harvick’s 3rd series win of the 2011 season, his 17th series career win and his 1st series win at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

David Ragan finished in second and was followed by Joey Logano who finished third, Kurt Busch finishing fourth and A.J. Allmendinger finished in the fifth position.

Rounding out the top-ten finishers were Marcos Ambrose finishing sixth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. seventh, Regan Smith eighth, David Reutimann ninth and Denny Hamlin finished in the tenth position.
